Tikona Digital Networks, engaged in building the next generation wireless broadband services for home and enterprise customers in India today announced the launch of “ZabbarDus” 4G Home Broadband Services in Varanasi.
The launch was unveiled by Divya, Prashanti and Pratima together popular as Singh Sisters, the zabardus National Basketball Players from Varanasi.
Tikona Zabbardus provides consumers 10 Mbps broadband for as low as at Rs 700 per month with 10 GB of usage data to Rs 7,000 per month for 250 GB of usage. With Tikona Zabbardus Broadband service, consumers can stream upto 6 concurrent videos, download content and e-mail. Even calling apps which need voice support can run on Tikona 4G services.
Tikona 4G Home broadband services will cover entire Varanasi city. In Varanasi, Tikona will provide excellent coverage in Sigra, Paharia, Durgakund, Nadesar, Gadholiya, Kamaksha and others.
The company has already made investments to the tune of Rs 1,500 crores for securing 20 MHz liberalized spectrum in the 2300 MHz band during the auctions concluded in 2010 and is planning to invest almost an equal amount to roll out 4G home Broadband (ghar ka broadband) services across more than 1,000 towns in the five circles of Uttar Pradesh (East), Uttar Pradesh (West), Gujarat, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh.
The company has invested up to Rs 20 crores in Varanasi for rolling out Tikona Zabbardus, 4G Home Broadband Services. In Varanasi, the company has built capacities to cater to more 50,000 broadband homes in the city.
Speaking on the occasion Prakash Bajpai, Founder, MD and CEO said “ Varanasi is the first city where 4G services has been launched and plans are to launch 4G network in other cities and circles soon. We are hopeful that subscribers in Varanasi will get to experience world class home broadband services which they can use conveniently for various reasons”.
Tikona holds 4G spectrum licenses in 5 circles in North-West India, covering Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh East, Uttar Pradesh West and Himachal Pradesh.
Tikona Home Broadband services is delivered through LTE Wireless Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) which is mounted on the rooftop of houses. From the outdoor CPE, the connection is delivered over a CAT5 cable to the customer’s Wi-Fi Router, laptop or PC. Through a Wi-Fi router, consumers can connect any number of Wi-Fi enabled devices (including PC, smartphones and tablet) to access Tikona Broadband services.
